Feature on the Archivo Filmico del Noreste and Invitation to Its Presentation at the Museo de Historia Mexicana

The Archivo Filmico del Noreste is a community-led initiative founded by filmmakers from Nuevo León, dedicated to recovering, preserving, researching, and promoting the audiovisual heritage of northeastern Mexico. Our collections bring together materials that document different aspects of life in the region, particularly in Nuevo León, Coahuila, and Tamaulipas, through films and audiovisual recordings made primarily during the 20th century.
Facing the risk of these materials being lost, damaged, or forgotten, we work to contribute to their recovery, preservation, research, and dissemination, making this audiovisual heritage available to new generations and to projects that seek to tell stories about Mexico.
